A Chopper For A Cause
The well known sixwomen crew Chopper Chicks built another oneofakind chopper donated by Bikers Choice the Today Show Chopper at the Rockefeller Center in New York City on July 21 2007. The event was broadcast live on national TV on the Today Show in front of a local audience of fans and supporters.
The Today Show chopper is now up for grabs to raise funds for the Boys Girls Club of Broward County Fla.
Anyone can submit a bid during the five month long auction. The highest bidder will be announced at the annual biker bash celebration Black Leather Event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino resort in Hollywood Fla. in December. In the mean time the chopper will be on display at the Sturgis Bike Week the Daytona Beach Biketoberfest and the Fort Lauderdale Bike Week.
Previous charity chopper builds include the Pink Ribbon Chopper at the Daytona Beach Fla. Bike Week in February 2007 and the Breast Cancer Awareness Chopper at the Fat Fest in August 2006 in Gurnee Ill.
All Chopper Chick crew builders are members of the International Master Bike Builders Association IMBBA and have extensive building experience. They were chosen for these charity projects due to their skills and professionalism. The crew consists of Athena Ransom a.k.a. Vagabond Chickie Jayme Gray Joann Bortles Katie Putnam Kate OShea Vivian Gypsy Charros and Jena Lewis a.k.a. the Vagabond Trailer Chick. The Boys and Girls Club of Broward County is located in Fort Lauderdale. It is private nonprofit agency dedicated to helping struggling teenagers improve their lives and selfesteem.
